At the beginning of the new year I started a seven weeklong online retreat that accompanies the book, The Eyes of the Heart: Photography as a Christian Contemplative Practice.
Week one theme, January 1 through 6: Seeing with Eyes of the Heart.
Week two theme, January 8 through 13: The Dance of Light and Shadow. I decided to use the monochrome setting on my camera to study the interplay between light and shadow in the world and my soul.
Week three theme, January 15 through 20: What Is Hidden and What Is Revealed?
Week four theme, January 22 through 27: The Symbolic Significance of Color.
Week five theme, January 29 through February 3: What Is Mirrored Back?
